Raymond Dokpesi, Jnr had his Masters Degree from the University of Westminster, London in Public Relations & Public Communications in 2006.
He started his working career with DAAR Communications Ltd now Plc in 2001 as a Marketing Officer. Between 2002 and 2004, he was a Marketing Executive. In 2004, he established a specialized Marketing and Public Relations Consultancy firm – Virgin & Virgo Solutions Limited which specialized in Direct-to-Home Cable TV services marketing and direct response television (infomercials) joint venture packaging for the emerging Cable TV market in the country,
Upon obtaining his Masters Degree, he returned to the country and joined DAAR Communications Limited as a News Reporter/Broadcast Journalist between 2006 and 2007. In 2008, he was the pioneer Sports Rights & Content Acquisition Manager with the responsibility of sourcing and acquiring international sporting rights for Africa Independent Television (AIT), RayPower FM and the DHTV/Daarsat platform and marketing same to the organization’s sporting partners in Nigeria, Africa and the International markets.
He held several other positions – Chief Marketing Officer, Director – Marketing, Director - Special Projects, Executive Director - Special Projects, and Managing Director - DAAR Educational Service (DES).
Raymond Dokpesi Jnr; a seasoned broadcast Administrator with vast experience in Marketing, Journalism, Sports Rights Acquisition, Pay TV Content Aggregation, Marketing Concept Development, Project Conceptualization was appointed the Chairman of DAAR Communications Plc by the Board in November 2014 and the Shareholders of the company at the 5th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Nov 28, 2014 upon the voluntary retirement of the Founder and erstwhile Chairman.
He has attended several Broadcast Management, Marketing and Sports Rights Acquisition Conferences, Exhibitions and Workshops most especially in the USA, Europe and United Kingdom.
He is a member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, UK.
He is married with children.
Who holds a PhD in Marine Transport Engineering was born in Ibadan, Oyo State on the 25th of October 1951. He hails from Agenebode in Etsako East Local Government Area in Edo State of Nigeria.
He attended Ebenezer African Church School, Ibadan, Loyola College, Ibadan and Immaculate Conception College, Benin City. He worked briefly with the Nigerian Ports Authority as Marine Office Cadet in 1969 before proceeding to Poland for further studies. He attended Wyxsa Szokta Morska Gdynia and University of Gdansk Sopot for his Bachelor, Masters Degree and Doctorate Degree. He made a first class with distinction and was also the best graduating student in fifty years in Poland in Marine Transport Engineering.
He lectured in the University of Gdansk, Poland as Assistant Lecturer in Marine Transport Economics before proceeding to Nigeria.
He worked with the Federal Ministry of Transport and Aviation as the Head of Water Transport Division on Secondment from Nigerian Ports, Plc (NTCC) between 1978-1983. Other appointments held by Chief Raymond Dokpesi include

He is also the recipient of the prestigious Institute of Directors (IOD) 2007 Entrepreneurial Award.

Group Managing Director
Mr. Tony Akiotu the group Managing Director of the Organization. He was appointed in May 2009 in acting capacity and was confirmed in June 2010.
Mr. Tony Akiotu an ace broadcaster, Sports journalist and seasoned Broadcast Administrator is a fellow of the Nigeria Guild of Editors. He is an alumnus of the University of Lagos, Bennett College, London where he obtain Advance Certificate in Journalism, Deutsche Welle – Germany, Advance Diploma in Broadcasting, Management, Friedrich Ebet Foundation, Proficiency Certificate in Marketing from the Nigerian Institute of Management and the FRCN Training School, Lagos.
Mr. Tony Akiotu Joined the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) in September, 1981 as News Assistant and rose through the ranks to the position of senior Editor in November 1993. He joined DAAR Communication Plc at inception in September 1994 as Manager Sports, RayPower FM; he has held several position – Assistant General Manager, RayPower FM in 2001; Executive Director, News and Current Affairs. In May 2009, he was appointed as the Acting Group Manager Director and was confirmed by the Board of Directors in June 2010.
Been a fellow of the Nigeria Guild of Editors, he had held the following positions – Member, Standing Committee; Assistance Secretary, Deputy President from 2004 – 2008. He was the Chairman of the 1st and 2nd All Nigeria Editors Conference held in 2004 and 2005 respectively.
Mr. Akiotu covered the following National and International Sporting Events – 12th Africa Football Cup of Nations 1980; Seoul Olympics, South Korea 1988; 14th Africa Cup of Nations, Morocco 1984; Africa Cup of Nations, Nigeria/Ghana 2000; World Cup Final in USA 1994; 6th All Africa Games in Harare, Zimbabwe 1995; World Cup Final in Mexico 1986, FIFA under 20 World Cup in Nigeria, 1999; Olympic Games in Sydney, Australia 2000; World Cup Final in South Africa, 2010.
He is a recipient of several National and International Awards. He is member – Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ); Nigeria Guild of Editors (NGE); African Editors Forum; World Editors’ Forum and Nigeria Institute of Marketing. He also severed as member of the Publicity Committee of the Presidential Inauguration Committee in May 2007
MD, Raypower FM Radio Services
Dr. Kenny Ogungbe was appointed into the Board of DAAR Communications Plc in 2011 and the Managing Director of Radio Service in 2012 overseeing the Radio Operations of Organization – RayPower FM nationwide, RayPower Sierra Leone and FAAJI FM.
Dr. Kenny Ogungbe, is alumnus of Southern University, New Orleans and Southern University, Baton Rouge both in Los Angeles in the United States Of America (USA) where he both obtained his Bachelor Degree in Accounting and Master’s Degree in Mass Communication; he was a pioneer Assistant General Manager of RayPower FM upon the debut of the station in September 1, 1994 and rose to become the Group Manager of DAAR Communications PLC from 1995 – 2000.
He veered into private production and entertainment practice, with the establishment of Kennis Communication Ltd; the owners of Kennis Music Channel and Kennis Music International as the founder/ Chief Executive Officer. He was also the senior Partner of Prime Time Entertainment.
He was appointed into the Board of DAAR Communications Plc in 2011 and the Managing Director of Radio Service in 2012 overseeing the Radio Operations of Organization – RayPower FM nationwide, RayPower Sierra Leone and FAAJI FM.
He stated in his career in Nigeria Television Authority (NTA), Abeokuta in 1979. While in RayPower 100.5 FM, he was the Best Radio Presenter of the Year 1997/1998. AIT Jamz which he co-presented with Dayo Adeneye (D1) also won the best TV Presenter of the in 1997, 1998, and 2000 to 2004. An ace music Producer and Presenter, he has covered Granny Music Award since 1994 to date as the only Nigeria/Africa accredited Radio Presenter.
Dr. (Mrs) Oluwatosin Dokpesi is currently the Head of Domestic and International Operations and Managing Director of African Independent Television (AIT)
Dr. (Mrs.) Oluwatosin Dokpesi is an alumnus of the University of Lagos where she studied Zoology. She obtained Postgraduate Diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Lagos; Diploma in Television Management and Television Broadcasting from the United States information Technology Training Institute in the United States of America. She has undergo trainings in NTA TV College Jos and ITPAN Training Institute, Lagos.
She worked with Multimedia content provider on NTA, Clapperboard Television as a presenter from 1994 – 1995. She joined DAAR Communications Plc as a Radio Presenter, Newscaster and Programmes Officer in 1996.
She is presently the Managing Director of Africa Independent Television (AIT), held several position amongst which are – Principal Officer, Manager, Senior Manager, Assistant General Manager, Deputy General Manager in Charge of Programmes, Content Quality Control, Programme Acquisition, National and International Daily Transmission Management; Staff Training. Sales of Airtime and the General Administration of the Station nationwide and internationally.
She is a member of some Profession Bodies – Nigeria Union of Journalist (NUJ) and the Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM). She is a recipient of the Wisconsin University, America Honorary Doctorate Degree in 2009.
Managing Director Daar News Service
Imoni began his working career in 1980 as a Reporter with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Benin where he carried out such duties as Producer and Presenter of News and Current Affairs Programmes
In November, 1994, Imoni was employed by DAAR Communications as Editor 1 and Abuja Bureau Chief of RayPower 100FM and has since progressed holding various offices, namely; Assistant Manager (News) and Abuja Bureau Chief of Africa Independent Television (AIT) & Raypower; Assistant General Manager, Abuja station from September 2001 - April 2003; General Manager, Abuja Station from May 2003 - 2006; Deputy Director, News/Northern Operations from June 2006 - August 2007; Director, International Operations from September 2007 - September 2008 and Executive Director, International Operations DAAR Communications Plc (owners of Raypower, AIT & Daarsat).
Imoni Mac Amarere is currently the Executive Director News and Current Affairs of the Daar media conglomerate.
Imoni is also an author and publisher, with established works that include; “Cuban-African Policy: 1975-1985 Myths and Realities”; “Gems Out of Africa” (Anthology of Poems) Co-Edited; and “Echoes of Manacled Laughter”, (Collection of Poems) (in print).

Executive Director, Engineering /ICT
He attended the University of Ife, now Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife for his education where he graduated in Mechanical Engineering in 1989. In 2000, he obtained his Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in TCP/IP Engineering Administration.
In 1995, he attended Transmitter Maintenance Training programme in Italy, organized by ABS, one of the world largest and reputed Broadcast equipment manufacturers. A well travelled broadcast Engineer, he started his working career with MG Communications Limited in Lagos in 1989. He held several positions amongst which was Trainee Satellite TVRO Installation Engineer, 1989, Satellite Installation Engineer 1990 and Manager Satellite Systems, 1991.
He is a pioneer staff of DAAR Communications Plc from inception in 1994. He has been the Chief Engineer/Coordination of all the Engineering operations of the organization both within and outside the country, most especially the global satellite broadcasting.
ED, Finance and Admin
A Chartered Accountant and Business Administrator. He attended the University of Benin in Edo State where he studied Business Administration and graduated with a Second Class Upper Division in 1986.
Olorogun Williams I. I. Makinde is a Chartered Accountant, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN). He is presently undergoing his Doctorate Degree Programme at the Leeds Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom. He graduated with a Second-Class Upper Division in Business Administration from the University of Benin in 1986 and also holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Calabar in 1995 and an M.Sc. Corporate Governance from Leeds Metropolitan University, United Kingdom. He is also a Chartered Secretary from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries & Administrators (UK).
He worked with Berec (Nig) Ltd as a Store Clerk, Umukoro Group (Nig) Ltd, Pamol (Nig.) Ltd Calabar from 1990 to 1996 where he rose from the position of an Assistant Manager – Commercial to the position of Manager – Finance & Accounts. He moved to PRESCO Plc in Benin-City where he was the Costs Accountant from July 1999 – 2005. He is presently the Chairman of Erhimak Integrated Farms Ltd; Benin-Owena River Basin Development Authority after serving as the Chairman of Cross River Basin Development Authority from 2009 – 2012 and the National Treasurer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) from 2009 – 2012.

A broadcast journalist and manager with over 25 years of experience, in which 16 years have been in managerial capacity.
Ms Paulyn Ugbodaga is a graduate of Dramatic Arts from the University of Ife now Obafemi University. She Obtained her Masters Degree in Public and International Affairs in 2008 from the University of Lagos.
Her career started with NTA, Abeokuta where she was a presenter, sub News editor, and Reporter in 1989. She joined sally Gallant Advertising Agency before joining the Edo State Broadcasting in 1990 where she rose through the ranks to the position of presenter, Reporter, Duty Continuity Announcer, Newscaster, OB Commentator and ultimately the Acting of Presentation on Radio/TV Program Department.
She joined DAAR Communication Plc in September 1994 and held various position – Newscaster, News Editor, Programmer Producer, Presenter, Duty Continuity Announcer, Manager Presentation, Manager Reportorial, Aviation/Airport Correspondent, Senior Manager, Assistance – General Manager, General Manager – Raypower Fm in 2003, Zonal Director – South west and eventually Managing Director of Raypower FM – Nigeria & Sierra Leona. In October 2012, she was seconded to Administration and Human Resource Development as the Executive Director.
She has attended several Broadcasting Management, Advertising and Management Courses both in Nigeria and overseas – AAAN workshops; FRCN Training School; TV College Jos; APCON; USIS; Deutch welle Radio Training Germany; BBC workshops in London; NIM Management Conferences.

MD, DAAR Ventures & Synergy Ltd
A seasoned journalist with experience that span decades, Felix started his career with the Nigerian Observer in Benin City in 1985.
Felix Akugha holds a National Diploma in mass communication, a Bachelor Degree in Foreign Languages, a Master’s Degree in International Relations from the University of Port Harcourt, and Diploma in Broadcast Journalism from Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ) Lagos.
He started his career with the Nigerian Observe in Benin – City in 1985. He later joined Delta Broadcastin Service in 1992. In 1994, he moved over to DBN Television upon the deregulation of Broadcasting and pioneered AM Broadcasting in the Station.
He joined DAAR Communications Plc in February 1997 to co-produce / pioneer and anchored Kaakaki, an AM Magazine Programme on Africa Independent Television (AIT). He rose through the ranks and several positions – Heading Reportorial – Lagos, Chief Correspondent south – south Zone, Director - Southern Operation supervising – Port Harcourt, Bayelsa, and Benin Stations.
Mr. Akugha is a widely trained Manage both in Leadership, Human Resource Management and Corporate Management from several Business School across the globe. He is an alumnus of the Havard University Business school, USA; the Queen University Business School, Toronto, Canada; and Manchester University Business School, United Kingdom.
He also trained at the Mcdonogh School of Business, Georgetown University, Washington DC, USA. The Cranfield School of Management, United Kingdom and the University of Port Harcourt Business School, Port Harcourt, Rivers State, Nigeria.
He was appointed as a Member of the Board in July.

Her working experience began with Lixdok Nig Ltd, as a Sales Executive before she joined DAAR Communications Plc, Lagos as a pioneer Staff in 1994 as an Advert Traffic Executive.
She is a graduate of the University of Ibadan where she did her Bachelor’s Degree and University of Lagos where she obtain her Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA Marketing).
At DAAR Communication Plc, she has served in various capacities from managing Marketing Operation to General Operation both at the state and Network levels. In 2008, she became the General Manager AIT, Lagos, Coordinating the operations from AIT’s platform in Lagos center and in 2010 she rose to the position of Director Network Operation of AIT. She is currently the Executive Director, Marketing, Sales and Research, appointed in July 2013.
She has attended several management and Broadcasting Administration Courses in Country, some Africa Countries, the United Kingdom and the US mostly in partnership with the BBC.
She is a Member of some professional bodies – Nigeria Institution of Management (NIM), Advertising Practitioners Council (APCON), and The Nigeria Institute of Marketing.
Executive Director – Special Projects
Mr. John Iwarue attended Auchi Polytechnic from where he graduated with a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, specializing in Marketing in 1980. In 1988, he graduated from the University of Ibadan with a Masters Degree in Business Administration (MBA).
He started work with R. T. Briscoe Limited in 1981 where he was a Sales Executive between March 1982 and January 1995. He held several positions in Leventis Motors Plc and rose to the position of a Sales Manager between March 1982 and April 1987. He was promoted to the position of the Branch Manager, Calabar, between June 1992 and January 1995.
He joined DAAR Communications Ltd in September 1996 and held various positions in the Marketing and Sales Department. In 2001, he joined Degue Broadcasting Network (DBN) Television as the Group Head of Marketing & Sales. He returned to the services of DAAR Communications Plc in 2004 as General Manager, Marketing and Sales. He was promoted to the position of the Executive Director, Marketing & Sales in 2007, a position that he held till 2013 when he was redeployed to the newly created Special Marketing arm of the organization for new business initiatives as the Executive Director, Special Marketing Projects.
Mary Lawrence – Dokpesi studied Law at the Bendel state University, Ekpoma and graduated in 1990. She was called to Bar in 1991. In 2008, she obtained a Masters degree in Law from Lagos State University LASU.
She started her Legal career in 1991 with the Lagos State Ministry of Justice as a Legal officer whose responsibility amongst other was representing the Attorney General of Lagos State in criminal matters and other offering legal advisory opinion and vetting of files and documents sent to the state Attorney General’s office.
Between Dec 1992 and 1993 she was the Senior Legal officer O. Oyelumade and Co Law firm. She joined DAAR Communication Plc as a Legal/Administration Officer.
She has held various positions: Assistance Manager/Head of Legal Service, Company Secretary?Head of Legal Service in January 2001; the Director, Legal Service and was appointed as Executive Director, Legal Services and a Member of the Board of Directors of DAAR Communications Plc.
She is a member of some professional bodies: Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), International Bar Association (IBA), Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administration (ICSA) and Institute Economy of Nigeria (ICEN)
In August 2014, Mr. Johnson Onime was elevated to the position of Executive Director and member of the Board of Directors of DAAR Communications Plc
He graduated from the University of Ibadan for both his Bachelor Degree in 1986 and Masters Degree in Communication and Language Arts Specializing in Public Relations in 2006.
He started his working career at Blue Star Insurance Company Limited; He was employed by Lagos State Teaching Service Commission in 1987. He rose to the position of Vice Principal (Administration). In 1990, he joined projectscope Limited as Head, Admin and Corporate Affairs. In 1996 he joined DAAR Communication Limited (now Plc) as a principal Officer – through the ranks and held several positions which eventually saw him becoming the Director, Corporate Communications and Planning in 2008.
In August 2014, he was elevated to the position of Executive Director and member of the Board of Directors of DAAR Communications Plc
He as attended several courses, workshop and training in Public Relations, Corporate Strategy, Branding in the Country and abroad.
He is a member of the following professional bodies: Member – Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) 2010, Associated Member – Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON) 2009, Associate Member – Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM) 1995.
Anopuo Donatus studied Law at the University of Calabar where he graduated in 2003. He was called to Bar in 2006.
He started his Legal career in the office of the Chief Magistrate of Court 5 in Port Harcourt in 2006. He joined R. E. Wongho & Co Chambers in Port Harcourt also in 2006 on the expiration of the mandatory attached with Court 5. Between January and March 2007, he was with U. M. Yamah & Co Chambers; between March and June 2007, he was with Emmanuel Esene & Co. Chambers from where he joined DAAR Communications PLC in July 2007 as Principal Legal Officer. In October 2011, he was appointed the Acting Company Secretary, a position that he occupied till March 28, 2014 when he was confirmed by the Board of Directors at its 62nd Board Meeting.
In 2012, he was at London for Pitmans Course on the Management of Meetings. He was also at London for the 21st Century Workshop on the Role of Company Secretary organized by the United Kingdom Training Worldwide. He was also at the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) Masters Class on “Understanding the SEC Code of Corporate Governance. In 2013, he attended the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) and the Institute of Directors organized course on “The Effective Board”.
